Last Week Of Mexico MTC!!

Image
Well, it's officially a wrap for my time at the MTC!! I have learned so much, and I am grateful to Heavenly Father for helping me deepen my understanding of the gospel in the Spanish language. My last classes are tomorrow, and then I will be packing and getting ready for Tuesday. I leave for Seattle on that day!  I had a couple tender mercies and special conversations about the gospel, and I loved them so much. Love you all! I went to the temple today and didn't have a lot of p day time, so my email is short again. Sorry! I am so excited for the field because I am ready. Adios! Elder Jones

Hurt Leg, Parted Hair, Numerous Latinos, And Spiritual Highs

¡Hola desde Ciudad de México! El clima aqui es loco y bonita, pero me encanta. La lluvia aqui me está preparando para Seattle. That was some brief Spanish to give you an idea of how I'm doing with the language. I feel confident in it, and I love to learn. I cannot believe that it's my third week! I can walk on it, which is great. Each of the four Elders (including me) have distinct hair, and for whatever reason, we all wanted to try parting our hair. It was hilarious! We looked ...

My First Real Investigators

¡Hola todos! El CCM es el mejor!! I just want to put this out there. I am the first missionary in my family to attend the Mexico City MTC, and I LOVE it. I love the feeling of being foreign, immersed in learning and teaching the gospel, and consecrated to the Lord. Last week, I didn't have a P-day, so this week's email is covering last week and this one.  A LOT has happened! New callings, meetings, devotionals, and classes. I am learning so much and I don't want it to stop. I am an SYL leader and house leader in my district, and my companion is our district leader. He and I are super close,  partly because he lived two doors down from me back when we were freshmen at BYU. He is a huge strength and example to me. Hilarious guy. My whole district is super close with each other and we love doing as many things together as we can.  I waited too long during my p day today to write this email, so it won't be as long. Lo siento!  I had a few powerful and tender experiences ...
