A Wedding!

Image
Another great week here in Bellevue, Washington! Half of the missionaries in my mission (about 100) gathered for a zone conference in Bothell. It was wonderful! We learned so much. My trainer, Elder Lancaster, gave his departing testimony since he'll be going home at the end of June. He has been a hardworking missionary, so it's a little sad to know he only has four weeks left. While I was on an exchange with my district leader, Elder Bishop, we did some moving for a friend in the area! What a great time to have served. This weekend was great! We had the wedding of two people that the other Spanish elders are teaching—Jonathan and Claudia. What a neat thing to be a part of! They are such kind people, and we're so happy for them. So many non-members came to it, and 6 came to church the next day! What a wonderful miracle. We are moving to teach Imeldo the stuff he still has questions about. He feels that he'll be ready for baptism when he learns a little more. We are pray...

Another Marvelous Week

We experienced changes in missionaries here in Bellevue! My trainer Elder Lancaster is in his last 6 weeks of his mission, and he came to Bellevue!! This is going to be fun for sure. I also have a new companion! His name is Elder Brown. He is pretty goofy and fun. Way different than Elder Snell.  We did some service through JustServe! It was great. We organized donated items to be picked up by Goodwill.  Our soccer night was fantastic once again! There was a slight decrease in attendance, but I'm happy with how it went. 13 people total. It was our first time playing on a field, and we all had a blast! Attendance is going to increase since this weather is divine. Raydel update. Not sure if I already mentioned this in my previous email, but please pray for Raydel. He has covid; therefore, we now know why he hasn't been responding to our messages. He says he wants to meet with us when he feels better, but things are iffy right now. As for Imeldo, he said we can meet with him in p...

Soccer Is Great And So Are Exchanges

Image
What a week. Holy cow. We have been posting English class flyers and spreading the word about our famous super sábado soccer night. Why? Because we want to find and teach more people! English class has been about the same in terms of attendance but there are five students who consistently come. We love this! As for soccer night, it was a blast this past weekend! 17 was our total attendance. Us 4 elders, 5 members, and 8 non members! I think 4 of those non members were new too, so I consider that a blessing. It was super intense too; everyone was going after the ball and playing great defense, so I sweat a lot trying to keep up. That was our last time playing in a church gym. We're starting to play on a field now. Hopefully more people will come. This seems to be a pretty good way to find new friends, so we're sticking with it! I went on two exchanges in a row! I went to an area called Duthie Hill for 24 hours, and then I went to Issaquah in the other Spanish elders' area fo...
