Transfers: Good News

Image
Wow! This was an insane 6 weeks that Elder Townsend and I have had in Auburn. I loved it so much. It really has been incredible. We videoed 12 miracle videos in that time, which is an average of 2 miracle videos a week. I felt that we demonstrated a lot of faith together. Elder Townsend is truly an extraordinary new missionary. We received news of our changes. In terms of my area, I am staying in Auburn. In terms of my companion, Elder Townsend and I are staying together. I could not be more thrilled by this. For this next transfer (6 weeks), we really want to get serious with our friends about commitment to Jesus Christ. It's our goal to have our friends make the decision to be baptized. We currently have 5 friends who indicate that they want to learn more about our message of peace and eternal life. Their names are Raúl, José, Christopher, Hugo, and Reynolds. They are great. I ran out of time, but I'm doing well. Love you all! Elder Jones

Temple And 4-Stake Fireside!

Our week was packed with some exciting things. We attended the temple, which was Elder Townsend's first time at the Seattle Temple. We enjoyed it so much. Every time I go up there in Bellevue, it reminds me of my days serving there. It's already been two and a half months since I left Bellevue! Mission time is crazy. Last night, we had a fireside with Spanish branches from four stakes. What's cool is that I have served in all four! The branches that came were Kent, Federal Way, Enumclaw, and Auburn. It was so neat to catch up with members that I haven't seen in a year. The speaker, a patriarch, had really good Spanish! He served his mission in Argentina, and he spoke really fast! He wasn't even native; he was American, so I was impressed. What a great opportunity to unite with so many Spanish members in the South region of my mission. Although several lessons canceled this week, we still had some great things happen. We saw some growth with Jose! On Tuesday, we taug...

A Parent's Payday

Hey this is Elder Harward and Elder Ball we serve with your son in Auburn and we just wanted to reach out and say that he is such a hard working missionary! He is so obedient and always doing his best! He is a beast at all sports from basketball to soccer to volleyball to frisbee he is such an athlete! We love serving around him and he is such a good example to the missionaries in our zone! He is good and being freinds with everyone he is always making sure everyone feels included and he makes the zone so much more fun!

Miracle Week!

Image
Another amazing week in Auburn has taken place. We probably recorded 3 or 4 miracle videos during the last 7 days, which is a lot. One thing that wasn't so good was that we got in a tiny car accident. We have to get that fixed, so it's a little concerning. Elder Townsend had his first exchange where he led our area, and I went to an English area. He did great from what he told me. He is becoming confident in his abilities and demonstrates faith! Our lesson with Jose was good! Our branch president attended this, and we collectively bore testimony of the importance of the church. He said he'd come, and he did! He came with his son, which is great. We look forward to teaching him some more. Our friend Reynolds has been cautious about church-related things lately as we visit him, but then on Saturday, he called to ask about the when and where of church. He came with his wife and son! It was incredible! Our members did a great job talking to him and helping him feel welcome. We ...

September Is Here

Hi everyone! I saw some sweet miracles this week; you can watch them in the attached album. We saw some people at soccer and we talked to our friend at volleyball!! We are going to keep talking with them.  I learned how to juggle from Elder Townsend, so I thought that was cool. Most of our lessons canceled this week, so that was rough. However, we maintain our faith.  Sorry this email isn't long. More to come. Elder Jones
