It's Getting Cold
Well, I can officially say it's winter. Halloween is over and it is really cold and rainy. This is all to be expected, though.
I went on an exchange this week with a biking elder. An exchange is when you go to a different area with a different missionary for 24 hours and your companion switches and goes with the other. To be honest, biking everywhere was not easy for me since it's windy and cold. However, I had some neat experiences. We had an hour-long lesson with a guy who really wants to read the Book of Mormon! He was fascinated that Jesus visited the Americas in addition to Jerusalem. Super cool!
Juan Jose is progressing and believing everything we teach him. We taught him the Plan of Salvation, and he asked good questions that indicated he understands God's plan for us. We are thrilled for him, and he says he'll accept a baptismal date once he feels he learns more about the church.
My Spanish is coming along, and I'm stoked about it. It's still hard to understand native speakers sometimes, but I feel so good about being able to teach certain principles of the gospel. God is aware of His children's needs.
Those were some highlights. More happened, but I ran out of time.
Love you all!
Elder Jones
