My First Confirmation In Spanish!

¡Hola todos! Ha estado una mejor semana para mi compañero y yo.

Muchas buenas cosas han sucedido durante esta semana! Mi abilidad hablar en español esta mejorando!! Basically, my Spanish is improving a lot and I can understand almost all of what people say to me!! I am so thrilled about it and I give credit to Heavenly Father for blessing me in this way.

Two English elders in Renton (in our same area) have taught a mother and son for a bit, and by working together with them, they baptized them on Saturday! Their names are Julieta and Julien. We helped put together the program and invite our ward. Elder Miller and I had the opportunity to confirm them members of our church in sacrament meeting yesterday! We did it in Spanish, and I was so proud of my companion. What a terrific experience it was. They are new members of our Spanish ward--named Rainier Vista!

We have three or four friends that we are teaching right now, and they have interest in possible baptism. I am grateful to be able to understand Spanish much better so that I can train my companion on it and also teach our friends.

We experienced two awesome miracles this week! To hear about them, they are in my weekly album (link below). Super cool experiences.

Tomorrow is my 6 month mark as a missionary!! I started online MTC June 13th, and I am so grateful for the experiences I have had and am yet to have. My first couple weeks in Seattle as well as last week (11-29-12/5 ish) were the hardest weeks of my mission so far, but I am grateful to become stronger through my challenges. It was only possible with trust in Heavenly Father and using Christ's atoning power to patiently endure. My eyes are opened every day as I serve, and the work is REAL. I felt the Holy Ghost strongly yesterday as I watched an animated video of the story of Samuel the Lamanite and the prophecy that Christ would be born. This season is so special--because of Christ. Remember that.

Love you all! Renton is awesome by the way! It's a great area to be serving in. Disfruta la clima, nieve, tiempo con familia, and recuerda que Dios les ama!!
