I Still Love Auburn So Much

I have been tossed into a whirlwind of changes this week! This coming week will bring even more, so I'm taking a deep breath, hoping I can bear it all.

Here are some recent and upcoming changes:

We met as a new ward for the first time on Sunday (12/10)!
I said goodbye to my good friend, Elder Cook. It was hard because he taught me a lot and is devoted to the Lord. He is at the airport and flying to India to serve where he was originally assigned!
Four missionaries in Auburn are finishing their missions and heading home.
We are taking Elder Wood to the airport on Thursday. He'll be flying to Peru for his original assignment. This will be hard; Elder Wood is an amazing Spanish elder.
Transfer news happens on Wednesday. Elder Townsend and I are likely going to split up. After over four months of serving with him, I'm going to find out who stays and who leaves.
We went to the Bellevue Nativity Festival last night, and it was incredible! I got to sing in our missionary choir, and the Spirit was strong! Audry, Brad, and Hordania came!! I'm so happy they could experience this wonderful occasion.

Going to church with our new ward was so exciting! Some of the members from Federal Way remembered me, and I was happy to see them again! Also, Audry and Brad came to church! I'm not too surprised that Audry made it to church for the fifth time straight; she's awesome. We didn't get to teach her this past week, however, because she was sick. We're praying that she can meet together with us and the Fuentes' to talk about the Savior and His message.

There is still no snow here in Auburn. There are only clouds and rain, so I honestly enjoy the winter in this particular part of Washington. Don't get me wrong—it's definitely pretty cold.

This week is going to be intense. I await the news of our changes, whether I leave or stay. I am also anxious to teach Audry; she has a desire to learn and come unto the Savior from what she feels. We are also pushing for getting her sister Hordania to our lessons and to church.

¡Mantenga cálido y disfrute cada día de esta semana! Sepa que esta temporada de Navidad es especial gracias a un Hombre que vino a salvar el mundo. Qué humildad me siento en esto.

Hasta la próxima lunes!

Elder Jones
