Teaching While Getting A Haircut? Who Knew!

I wish I could record every valuable experience in my journal. I realized recently how I need to journal each night—not just a few times a week. It makes quite a difference! I like to write about things in which the Holy Ghost influences me and three things that I'm grateful for. My mission is so valuable to me, so it's almost an obligation for me.

Today was an amazing week! We had many lessons with a member participating, people at church, and new friends made! There is no substitute for working hard as a missionary.

For our friends Audry, Hordania, Laura Torres, Luis, and Vanessa, we had members participating in lessons with them! Members are critical as they share testimony and give support in our ward.

Laura is doing pretty well. She has been reading the Book of Mormon and praying lately! We plan to invite her to church.

Luis is COMMITTED to God! He gives credit to Him in everything, and he believes what we teach. What's cool is that we saw on Facebook that he gave his friend a good haircut. Knowing that my hair was long and that I'd need a cut soon, I asked Luis for one, and he cut it! While he cut my hair, Elder Maycock taught him the baptismal covenant in Mosiah 18:8-13, and Luis paid attention! Sadly, he moved to Alki, which is in the northern region of our mission. I'll for sure attend his baptism when it happens.

Vanessa is okay. She believes what we teach, but she doesn't read the Book of Mormon. We're working with her to help her grow her testimony.

The best of all was Brad, Hordania, and Audry. We had two lessons with Audry and Hordania this week, so we loved having more contact with them. They are progressing! They loved church and enjoyed learning about what we call the Doctrine of Christ. Please continue praying for them.

This week is transfers, so I'll be finding out if I'm leaving or staying. I love Auburn so much regardless of what happens.

Jesus Christ is the greatest joy. This is truth.

I'm out of time. Love you all!
