Jesus Christ Is Risen!
Easter was extraordinary. It is by far my favorite holiday. It is the most significant event in human history. For the entire day, I thought about the Savior and His matchless gift of the Atonement. I loved sacrament meeting so much; I felt my Redeemer's love as I saw so many people attending church and remembering His infinite sacrifice with me. I have never felt more self-confident and close to Christ than this point in my life. Obedience and selfless service to others do this to me.
Monday was fantastic! We had three different lessons with members present. Keep in mind that on Mondays, we only teach from 6-9pm, so this was a big deal for us!
We have been having great lessons over video call lately! One was from Facebook, and another was for an English class. We pray that they will come closer to the Savior as they learn with us.
We met with Claudio after not seeing him for over two weeks. It was great! We taught him the Plan of Salvation with the help of a member of our bishopric. This member, Hermano Clemente, did a great job of inviting him to read and pray. Claudio came to church, and we're excited to hear how things go with his studies and prayers. We sure care about him!
Eli has been reading in the Book of Mormon a little bit. He's so awesome. He sadly couldn't come to church because he had been in the hospital and was contagious with something. We are still struggling to find his parents' records, so prayers for this are appreciated.
Fernando continues to progress. He is reading regularly and believes everything we teach him. He would have been baptized on Sunday (the 31st), but it was Easter, and it's important that we worshiped and had time for our families. He is still solid for April 14th, however. We recently taught him about temples and family history work, with which he was super fascinated. He kept saying "Orale!" which means "OK!" or "No way!" We are happy that he's happy.
We had a total of seven member-present lessons, seven new friends, and nine friends at church. Those are three amazing indicators of progress!
We are all preparing for General Conference, so that's exciting! We are watching part of a session with our friends Maria, Marialena, and Samer. I know that what the prophet speaks is directly from Heavenly Father. It excites me to know that we get to hear from President Nelson and the other fourteen brethren (2 members of the First Presidency and 12 Apostles).
There's nothing like true repentance. I had a beautiful, personal experience with it this week, and it built my testimony of the Savior!
That was my week. April is already here, and it's hard to believe it!
I hope you all have a wonderful experience as you listen to General Conference!
¡Que tenga una buena semana!
